Cdiscount

Cdiscount's product-sheet ingestion accepts JPG, GIF, and PNG. WebP, AVIF, HEIC, and TIFF are rejected. JPG is preferred for product photography; PNG for transparent assets.

Fix: Re-export with CatalogPrep's HEIC-to-JPG tool if needed, or set the Cdiscount preset to JPG. The export pipeline targets JPG at 88 quality by default for Cdiscount packs.

eBay

eBay allows up to 24 pictures per listing for free, each up to 12 MB, sized 500-9000 px on the longest side (1,600 px recommended). Accepted formats include JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, WebP, and HEIC.

Fix: Trim the batch to 24 images and use CatalogPrep's compress-to-size tool on any file over 12 MB. The eBay preset exports an accepted format (JPEG by default).

Meta Commerce

Meta's catalogue accepts JPEG and PNG; each file must be 8 MB or smaller (keep images under ~5 MB for fast mobile loads). WebP, AVIF, GIF, and HEIC are rejected at ingestion. Images must be reachable over public HTTPS.

Fix: Re-export as JPEG (preferred for photographic content) or PNG (preferred for transparent assets). CatalogPrep's export pipeline targets JPEG at 88 quality by default for Meta packs to stay well under the cap.

OTTO

OTTO accepts JPG and PNG product images in RGB color mode; CMYK files and unsupported formats are rejected during ingestion.

Fix: Convert CMYK to RGB and export as JPG or PNG. CatalogPrep normalizes the format and color mode automatically.

Shopify

Shopify accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP for product media. For product photography, JPG and WebP deliver the best size-to-quality ratio; PNG is best for product cutouts with transparency. HEIC is not a supported upload format - convert it first.

Fix: Use CatalogPrep's HEIC-to-JPG tool to convert HEIC sources, then upload. CatalogPrep's export pipeline can target WebP for the best size-to-quality ratio.

Walmart Marketplace

Walmart accepts JPEG/JPG, PNG, and BMP for product imagery. GIF, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC are not supported and will fail item setup ingestion. JPG is preferred for photographic content.

Fix: Re-export the image as JPG (preferred for photographic content) or PNG (preferred for transparent assets). CatalogPrep's export pipeline does this automatically when the Walmart preset is selected.

Zalando

Zalando's catalogue ingestion accepts JPG/JPEG only. Each image must be 20 MB or smaller. PNG, WebP, AVIF, and TIFF are rejected at upload.

Fix: Re-export as JPG at 90-95 quality. Zalando's fashion preset in CatalogPrep targets JPG by default and applies adaptive compression to stay under the cap.
