Amazon rule
Amazon: misleading AI-generated main images are prohibited
Amazon permits AI for photo enhancement (background removal, color, lighting, resize), but the main image must truly represent the actual product. AI-fabricated or misleading main images risk suppression, and AI use must be disclosed. Detection is rolling out through 2026.

What we check
CatalogPrep flags AI-generated outputs from supported providers and surfaces a manual-review step before an AI-derived asset is added to the main image slot.
How to fix
Use a true photograph (or an accurate render) of the actual product for the main image; AI enhancement is fine as long as the result still represents the real item. Disclose AI use where required. Manual review required.
