Etsy: 1,000px shortest-side minimum, 2,000px recommended

Etsy's effective floor is 1,000 px on the shortest side. The seller handbook recommends 2,000 px so photos render sharply across desktop, mobile, and the Etsy app's zoom view.

Etsy: square (1:1) aspect ratio recommended for listing photos

Etsy renders thumbnails as squares across search, shop home, and category pages. Non-square photos are center-cropped, which can hide important product detail.

Etsy: up to 10 photos per listing

Etsy allows up to 10 photos per listing. The seller handbook recommends using all 10 slots - front, back, scale, detail, in-use, and packaging - to lift conversion.

Etsy: AI-generated content must be disclosed in the listing

Etsy requires sellers to disclose AI-generated content. Listings include an "I used AI-generative technology" checkbox, and Etsy's automated review cross-checks image metadata. Undisclosed AI imagery violates Etsy's Creativity Standards and can lead to removal.
