eBay: photos must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side
eBay rejects listings where the photo longest side is below 500 pixels. 1,600 px or higher is recommended to enable the zoom and enlarge feature on the listing page.
eBay: no marketing watermarks, text, or URLs on photos
eBay prohibits marketing watermarks plus added text, logos, and URLs. A small ownership/attribution watermark is allowed only if it covers no more than 5% of the image, sits at 50% opacity or less, contains no links, and never obscures the item.
eBay: photos must not include added borders
eBay disallows decorative or solid-color borders around the photo. Borders reduce the rendered subject area and trigger picture policy rejections.
eBay: photos must show the actual item being sold
eBay's picture policy requires the photo to depict the actual item for sale. Manufacturer stock photos are allowed only for new items in original packaging; pre-owned items must use real photos.
eBay: up to 24 photos per listing, 12 MB max each
eBay allows up to 24 pictures per listing for free, each up to 12 MB, sized 500-9000 px on the longest side (1,600 px recommended). Accepted formats include JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, WebP, and HEIC.
